Thanks to a very generous donation to the No. 6 appeal, the total funds available now stand at over £19,000, and once the GiftAid element is received the appeal will have been successful in reaching its target.
The donation gives a great boost to the restoration and we are extremely grateful to the individual concerned for supporting the project. We would also like to express our thanks to everyone who has donated to the appeal – one item for which funds are now available thanks to donations is the new front tubeplate. The easing of Covid restrictions has seen the old tubeplate removed and the Knotty Trust is now obtaining finalised quotations which will enable the order to be placed for the replacement.
The appeal remains open (https://www.gofundme.com/f/robert-heath-no6-appeal ) and any help is gratefully received.
The trust are pleased to announce that the Knotty Heritage train will return in 2021.
